The site of the former Hotel-Restaurant Bären on the village square in Ins has new owners: the property developers OLD FOR YOUNG. The architect Salvatore Cibolini initiated the project.
We give no figure for the purchase price. We will not embellish this point, even when we are asked about it.
Municipal president Kurt Stucki was quoted on the sale with the words “Endlich geht es vorwärts” (“Finally things are moving forward”). The sentence describes well what such a sale first means for a village: movement in a place where nothing had happened for a long time. It does not yet mean a finished building.

The further approach is also publicly documented in principle. The rebuilding is to be planned in workshops, together with heritage and townscape conservation, OLD FOR YOUNG and the municipality. That is more than a formality. It establishes that this house will not be decided at the drawing board alone.
What is to happen to the protected building in concrete terms is open. There is no approved scheme, no submitted building application and no granted building permit. The question of how much of the existing fabric will be kept is likewise part of the workshop process and is not being anticipated.
Filippo Cibolini is the contact person for the Bären project. Questions from the village, from possible future residents or from the media go through him. The architecture office Cibolini Architektur GmbH is based in Muntelier.
We deliberately keep this article plain. A change of ownership is a beginning. It is not yet a result.
