What our name stands for

Experience. Opportunity. Responsibility. Future.

OLD FOR YOUNG is more than a name. It is our vision.

We combine the experience, knowledge and network of one generation with the ambition, courage and energy of the next.

We believe that experience is particularly valuable when it is passed on. That is why we want to use our resources to open doors for young, committed people, to entrust them with responsibility and to give them opportunities they might otherwise only receive many years later.

We do not want to decide the future for young people. We want to give them the springboard to shape their future themselves.

Our standard

Three sentences we are happy to be judged on.

They appear in short form on every document. Here is what they mean in practice for the Bären project.

  1. Stance

    Taking responsibility.

Responsibility begins with the decision to take on a difficult site. OLD FOR YOUNG bought the site in August 2026 and commissioned it as a project from Cibolini Architektur. With the site comes an expectation in the village, and we accept it. So we say openly where the project stands, and just as openly what has not yet been decided.

    • 01Site bought by OLD FOR YOUNG in August 2026
    • 02A protected object on the village square
    • 03Development together with the municipality
  2. Process

    Passing on experience.

Experience is only worth something if others benefit from it. In the Bären project it feeds into a process that deliberately allows several voices. The architecture practice Cibolini Architektur GmbH is developing a workshop with the municipality, and a panel of several people accompanies the process. Architecture then emerges not only for the place, but out of an understanding of the place.

    • 03Heritage and local conservation at the table
  3. Outcome

    Shaping the future.

Shaping the future here means first of all building for different stages of life. Ten senior apartments, two family apartments and a daycare on the ground floor are planned. Added to that is a shared energy network intended to supply surrounding buildings as well. What the building will finally look like is decided in the workshop process and not before.

    • 022 family apartments
    • 031 daycare on the ground floor
    • 04Shared energy network for the project and its surroundings

The architecture: Cibolini Architektur GmbH

The architecture for the Bären project is the responsibility of Cibolini Architektur GmbH, based at Hauptstrasse 159, 3286 Muntelier. The practice has been entered in the commercial register since May 2024 as an independent department of the Cibolini Group.

Its registered purpose is services in the fields of architecture, real estate and design. It is managed by Filippo Cibolini.

For the Bären project the practice is developing a workshop process together with the municipality. A panel of several people accompanies the process and brings in different perspectives. Architecture then emerges not only for the place, but out of an understanding of the place.

Together

A place takes shape. Together.

Good development begins with listening. The Bären project creates room for encounter, exchange and a shared life across the generations.

How we work

Three points that describe the way we work.

Together, open and visionary.

With the municipality

Not around it. So that the project fits into the townscape of Ins as well as possible, we work together with the municipality. The workshop process is the framework for that: it begins with questions rather than with a finished design.

Open before the decision

We communicate even when nothing has been decided. The Bären project is under development and not every question has been answered. That is exactly why we say where we stand instead of waiting for a finished result.

Young for old, old for young

We work professionally, purposefully, with a focus on solutions and flexibly. We work together, young for old and old for young, and we do it for our future.

Contact

For questions about the Bären project, Filippo Cibolini is the contact. He and his team receive expressions of interest, answer questions about the state of development and pass things on where another body is responsible.

Write briefly about what it concerns. If you are interested in an apartment, a note on the size you have in mind and on possible timing helps. Interested parties are considered in the order in which they get in touch.

Frequent questions

What we are asked most often.

Four questions that reach us again and again, with the answers in the form we also give on the phone.

Who is behind OLD FOR YOUNG?

1. Four entrepreneurs from Bern and Muntelier from the construction and service sectors. Four different experiences, skills and networks, united in a shared vision. The contact and representative is Filippo Cibolini, himself part of the team of four.

2. Our philosophy. OLD = experience · knowledge · network · contacts. YOUNG = ambition · courage · energy · will. Our experience should not end with us. We use what we have built up over the years to open up opportunities for the next generation.

3. Our four values. EXPERIENCE: we pass on knowledge. OPPORTUNITY: we open doors. RESPONSIBILITY: we hand over real responsibility. FUTURE: we create the springboard for the next generation.

4. Our vision. We do not simply want to develop property. We want to use property projects to create opportunities: for people, for municipalities and above all for young, ambitious talent.

5. Our vision becomes reality: Bären Ins. The Bären in Ins is to be the first project in which this philosophy is lived consistently: young people are given real responsibility for their own trade early on, supported by the experience, expertise and security of the older generation.

OLD creates opportunities. YOUNG takes on responsibility. TOGETHER we shape the future.

Is OLD FOR YOUNG a company?

OLD FOR YOUNG will become a public limited company (AG) headquartered in Muntelier later this year.

Do you build elsewhere as well?

OLD FOR YOUNG is involved in several projects. The companies of the individual founders have been building and delivering numerous projects in Switzerland and abroad for decades.

How can I get in touch with you?
